NameChat ("NameChat," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information NameChat collects, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. If you create an account or sign in using a third-party authentication provider, we may receive information such as your email address, display name, account identifier, and other basic profile information made available through that authentication method. We use this information to authenticate you and associate NameChat sessions with your account.

Session data. NameChat creates sessions to maintain conversations and Search DNA. Logged-in users may have sessions associated with their accounts. Anonymous users may have sessions associated with a temporary browser identifier.

Chat and Search DNA data. Messages you submit to NameChat, AI-generated responses, Search DNA preferences, and related naming-session information may be stored so that conversations can continue and recommendations can reflect information previously provided.

Usage data. We may collect information about interactions with NameChat, such as features used, session activity, and general usage patterns, to operate, analyze, secure, and improve the service.

Technical data. We may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request information, and similar data for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and service operation. Some technical identifiers may be transformed, hashed, or otherwise limited where appropriate.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide and operate NameChat.
Generate AI-assisted naming and domain recommendations.
Maintain conversations and Search DNA.
Authenticate accounts and secure sessions.
Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
Understand and improve service usage.
Respond to account, privacy, legal, partnership, or other communications you initiate.

3. AI Processing

NameChat uses third-party artificial intelligence service providers to process naming requests, analyze Search DNA, generate responses, and assist with domain-name recommendations. These providers currently may include Google Gemini.

When you use NameChat's AI-powered features, information necessary to process your request may be transmitted to an AI service provider. This may include the text you submit and relevant conversation or Search DNA context.

AI providers process information according to their own terms, privacy practices, and the service configuration used by NameChat. Data-retention and model-improvement practices may differ depending on the provider and service configuration.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, passwords, highly sensitive personal information, confidential trade secrets, or other information that is unnecessary for your naming request.

NameChat may change or add AI providers as the service develops.

4. Affiliate Links and Third Parties

NameChat may display links to third-party domain registrars, marketplaces, hosting providers, or other services. Some links may be affiliate or referral links. If you follow one of these links and subsequently register, purchase, or otherwise transact with the third party, NameChat may receive compensation at no additional cost to you.

Your interaction with a third-party service is governed by that service's terms and privacy practices. NameChat is not responsible for the privacy or data-handling practices of independent third parties.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

NameChat uses cookies or similar browser technologies necessary to maintain sessions, support authentication, and preserve certain service functionality. Anonymous users may receive a temporary identifier so that a NameChat session can continue across page loads.

NameChat may use additional analytics or preference-related technologies as the service develops. This Privacy Policy will be updated if our use of these technologies materially changes.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information, conversations, Search DNA, and related service data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate NameChat, maintain account functionality, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service.

Anonymous session information may be retained for a limited period based on operational and security needs.

You may request deletion of personal information associated with your account by contacting info@namechat.com. Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup integrity, or other legitimate purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is used.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as NameChat develops or as our information practices change. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.

10. Children's Privacy

NameChat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
